Sherry Ladig is a musician and composer in Minnesota’s Twin Cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. A frequent performer of many styles of folk music including Traditional Irish (Dunquin), Scottish dance and concert performance (Dalwhinnie), mid-to-late 19th century American (The New Pearl Buttons), and Elite Rabble (music from the Georgian and Regency periods, including English Country Dance music and British naval music). Sherry performs Celtic and 19th-century historic music regularly in the Twin Cities. Dunquin, Dalwhinnie, and all Sherry’s bands are available for private or public events all around the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Contact Sherry to arrange a gig!
Also an active composer, Sherry is the composer-in-residence for the Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra and composes a wide range of works for all types of instrumental and choral ensembles. Sherry is the recipient of Irish Arts Minnesota’s Honors Award, bestowed upon one who has significantly contributed to the vibrancy and vigor of Irish cultural life in Minnesota. She received the award in 2024 for her original compositions and musical collaborations with traditional Irish musicians.

Held in the old train depot (now a community center), this long-running show features local artisans: pottery, jewelry, paintings, fiber arts, tiles, turned wood pieces and more! The Election of 1864: An Election Like No Other

Join Thistledown Band and the members of the Royal Country Dance Society for their annual Failte (it means "welcome") Ball at the Celtic Junction. This is an event for beginner dancers; some rudimentary Scottish country dance instruction is recommended if you wish to dance (see link), but all are welcome for the social fun (great appetizers and drinks) and for listening to the lovely Scottish tunes. Thistledown has played this event for many years; get your best Scottish finery on (think Outlander and the ball they have) and have a great time! MN Scottish Celtic Dance Assoc Burns Night

What better way to celebrate the birthday of Scotland's national bard, Robert Burns, than with a whole bunch of Scottish dancers and musicians? Come join the MSCDA, Dalwhinnie (Don, Sherry and fiddler Rosa), and a cast of dozens of Scots entertainers as they present the second annual Burns Night at the Celtic Junction.
